تم تأسيس الشركة عام 1960، وهي إحدى الشركات التابعة لمجموعة الصناعات الوطنية القابضة المالكة للعديد من الشركات الصناعية والمالية في الشرق الأوسط وأوروبا وأميركا الشمالية.
تمتلك شركة الصناعات الوطنية وتدير 16 مصنعاً ومقلعين للأحجار، ويعمل فيها 1800 موظفاً في
مختلف النشاطات.
استطاعت الشركة مواكبة حركة العمران والبناء في السوق المحلي والإقليمي من خلال توسيع القاعدة الصناعية لديها ضمن مفهوم دعم استراتيجية تنويع المنتجات، حيث أنها الجهة المحلية الوحيدة المنتجة لبعض المواد كالجير والطابوق الجيري والأنابيب الخرسانية وأنابيب البولي إثيلين عالي الكثافة ذات الأقطار الكبيرة والسيراميك في
دولة الكويت.
